Thanh Hai Pham a été un chercheur à l'Institut national vietnamien de Planification agricole et de projection, puis au Centre de Télédétection et de Géomatique (VTGEO) du Viêt-nam depuis 1992. Après une maîtrise sur l'agroforesterie et le développement durable dans le Nord du Viêt-nam à l'Université Laval (Québec), il a soutenu une thèse de doctorat à l'Université de Montréal en 2009, sur les migrations rurales au Viêt-nam et leurs impacts environnementaux. Thanh-Hai travaille actuellement sur la redistribution de la population et ses effets sur l'environnement en relation avec les enjeux pour les États comme pour les paysans. Thanh-Hai Pham has been a researcher at National Institute of Agricultural Planning and Projection and then the Center for Remote Sensing and Geomatics (VTGEO) in Vietnam since 1992. After completing a master degree on agroforestry and sustainable development in the North of Vietnam at the Université Laval, he finished a doctoral dissertation at the University of Montreal in 2009 on rural migrations in Vietnam and their impacts on the environment. Thanh-Hai is interested in understanding the redistribution of population and its impact on the environment in relation to the interests of States as well as of paysans.
